How Old Was Whoopi Goldberg In Sister Act 2

So, I was watching Sister Act 2 the other day, you know, the one where Whoopi Goldberg plays the fabulous Deloris Van Cartier again. And it got me thinking, "How old was Whoopi when she was rocking those habits and belting out 'Joyful, Joyful'?"

Now, I know what you're thinking, "Why does it matter, it's just a fun movie!" And you're right, it is just a fun movie. But stick with me here, I've got a point to make.

First things first, let's rewind to 1993, the year Sister Act 2 hit the big screen. Whoopi was, drumroll please, 47 years old. Yes, you read that right. Forty-seven! Now, I don't know about you, but when I was 47, I was struggling to keep up with my kids' homework, let alone leading a choir of nuns in a high-stakes singing competition.

But Whoopi, she was out there, owning that stage, looking fabulous, and proving that age is just a number. And that's what I love about this movie. It's not just about the singing and the dancing (although, let's be real, those nuns can move). It's about Whoopi, this amazing, talented, and older woman, showing us all that you can still be a total badass in your 40s.

Now, I'm not saying we should all go out and become nuns (although, if that's your thing, who am I to judge?). But what I am saying is, we could all use a little more Whoopi in our lives. A little more "I'm 47, and I can still rock this habit and these heels" attitude.

So, the next time you're feeling like you're past your prime, or like you can't do something because you're "too old," remember Whoopi in Sister Act 2. Remember that age is just a number, and that you've still got plenty of joy, and plenty of life, left to sing about.

And hey, if all else fails, just channel your inner Deloris and say, "I'm here to save your souls, sisters!" You never know, it might just be the boost you need to get out there and start belting out those tunes.
