Age is Just a Number: How Old Was Kevin McCallister in 'Home Alone 2'?
Ever found yourself wondering about the age of everyone's favorite mischief-maker, Kevin McCallister, from the iconic 'Home Alone' series? You're not alone! While the first movie left us guessing, the sequel, 'Home Alone 2: Lost in New York', gives us a clearer picture. So, grab your Ecto Cooler and let's dive in.
Unwrapping the Timeline
First things first, let's establish the timeline. 'Home Alone' was released in 1990, and its sequel followed two years later in 1992. Now, let's meet the McCallisters. Kevin's older brother, Buzz, was born in 1983, making him 9 years old in the first movie and 11 in the second. This gives us a solid starting point.
In 'Home Alone', Kevin is younger than Buzz, but by how much? Well, if we assume Kevin is around 7 or 8 in the first movie (based on Macaulay Culkin's age at the time), that would make him 9 or 10 in 'Home Alone 2'. But let's not stop at assumptions. Let's crunch some numbers.
