Alright, gather 'round, folks. Let's chat about something that's been tickling the back of our brains - how old was Carl from The Walking Dead when the series started? Now, I know what you're thinking, "Why should I care about Carl's age?" Well, bear with me, because by the end of this, you might just find yourself in the same boat as me, curious as a cat on a hot tin roof.
First things first, let's set the scene. It's 2010, and The Walking Dead is about to burst onto our screens like a zombie from a grave. Now, imagine you're at a party, and someone's just put on a record - you know, one of those old vinyls that make you feel all nostalgic. That's what The Walking Dead was like. It was new, it was exciting, and it was about to change the game.
So, let's rewind to 2010. Our little Carl, played by the adorable Chandler Riggs, was just a wee lad. He was born on June 27, 1999, which makes him a summer baby, just like strawberries and sunshine. Now, you might be thinking, "That's a bit too far back for me to remember." Well, let me jog your memory. In 2010, Justin Bieber was just getting started with his "Baby" song, and Lady Gaga was wowing us with her meat dress at the VMAs. See? You're right there with me now.

That's right, folks, he was just a kid, trying to navigate the apocalypse with his family. It's like when you were a kid, and you thought you could handle anything because you'd seen it in a movie. Only, this was real. Well, as real as a zombie apocalypse can get.
But why should you care about Carl's age? Well, for starters, it's a testament to the show's ability to grow with us. We've watched Carl go from a kid hiding behind his dad's leg to a young man making tough decisions. It's like watching your little cousin grow up, but with way more zombies. Plus, it's a reminder that even in the darkest of times, there's always a bit of innocence left in the world.
