How Old Was Ariana Grande When She Did Victorious

When Did Ariana Grande's Star Power Begin? A Look Back at 'Victorious'

Ever wondered when Ariana Grande first graced our screens and stole our hearts? Let's rewind to the early 2010s, a time when side ponytails and cat-ear headbands were all the rage. That's right, we're talking about 'Victorious', the Nickelodeon show that launched Ari's career into the stratosphere.

So, how old was Ariana Grande when she did 'Victorious'? Let's break it down. The show premiered on March 27, 2010, and Ari was just a 16-year-old high school junior at the time. She played Cat Valentine, a quirky, lovable character with a unique sense of style and an even more unique laugh.

From Broadway to Hollywood

Ari's journey to 'Victorious' was no overnight success story. Born in Boca Raton, Florida, Ariana began her performing career at the age of eight, appearing in local productions of 'Annie' and 'The Wizard of Oz'. By the time she was 14, she had landed her first professional gig, a role in the Broadway musical '13'.

It was during her run on Broadway that Ariana was discovered by talent scouts from 'Victorious'. The rest, as they say, is history. Ariana's portrayal of Cat Valentine won over audiences and critics alike, earning her four consecutive nominations for 'Favorite TV Actress' at the Kids' Choice Awards.

Lessons from Cat Valentine

Now, you might be thinking, 'What can I learn from a teenage sitcom character?' Well, let's not underestimate the power of Cat Valentine. Here are a few life lessons we can take from Ariana's breakout role:

• Embrace your quirks: Cat Valentine was never afraid to be herself, even if that meant wearing a tutu to school or carrying around a life-sized cardboard cutout of her crush.
• Surround yourself with positivity: The show's central theme was friendship, and Cat's relationships with her fellow students at Hollywood Arts High were a constant source of support and encouragement.
• Never stop learning: Despite her sometimes ditzy demeanor, Cat was always eager to learn new things and expand her horizons. She took classes in everything from cooking to karate, proving that it's never too late to try something new.

From 'Victorious' to World Domination

After 'Victorious' wrapped in 2013, Ariana Grande wasted no time in launching her music career. Her debut album, 'Yours Truly', was released later that year and debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. Since then, Ariana has become a global superstar, with numerous hit singles, Grammy Awards, and even a fragrance line to her name.

But let's not forget where it all began. 'Victorious' was more than just a stepping stone for Ariana Grande; it was a launchpad for her incredible career. And as we look back on the show that started it all, we can't help but feel a sense of pride and nostalgia for the young star who captured our hearts.
