Meet Eric Braeden
First things first, the man behind the power-hungry, love-torn Victor Newman is none other than Eric Braeden. Now, you might be thinking, "Eric who?" But trust me, once you see his face, you'll be like, "Oh, that guy!"

From Small Screen to Soap Opera Legend
Before Victor Newman, Eric had quite the resume. He was in Start Trek, Charlie's Angels, even Battlestar Galactica. But it was in 1980 that he joined the cast of The Young and the Restless as the iconic Victor Newman, and the rest, as they say, is soap opera history.
Now, you might be wondering, "How old is this guy? He's been playing Victor since before I was born!" Well, hold onto your coffee, because here it comes.
Age is Just a Number
As of 2022, Eric Braeden is 81 years old. Yes, you read that right. Eighty-one! Now, I know what you're thinking, "No way! He doesn't look a day over 70!" Well, that's the magic of good genes, great makeup, and playing a character who's aged in real-time with the actor.

Age-Defying Secrets
So, how does he do it? What's his secret? Well, Eric's not one to dish out life advice, but he does keep himself in shape. He's been known to hit the gym, and he's a big fan of cycling. Plus, I like to think that all those years of playing a character who's been through more drama than a high school prom has given him some sort of emotional fortitude.
But let's be real, the real secret is that Eric Braeden is just a really, really good actor. He's been playing Victor Newman for over 40 years, and he's still got it. That's something to celebrate, right?
