Hey there, Fresh Prince fans! You know how we've all been wondering, "How old is Carlton from Fresh Prince of Bel-Air?" Well, grab a seat, 'cause we're about to dive into this like Will diving into Uncle Phil's pool!
First things first, let's talk about the man behind the character. Alfonso Ribeiro, who played our favorite preppy prince, was born on September 21, 1971. That makes him a Virgo, in case you're into that astrology stuff. Now, let's do some math. The show aired from 1990 to 1996, so when it started, Alfonso was just a fresh-faced 19-year-old.
But what about Carlton, you ask? Well, the show didn't exactly give us a birthdate, but we can make some educated guesses. Carlton was supposed to be around the same age as Will, who was 16 when he moved to Bel-Air. So, if we assume Carlton was around the same age, that would make him a teenager throughout the series.

Now, you might be thinking, "But what about all those times Carlton seemed older? Like when he was talking about his 'college days' or when he was trying to impress those 'older women'?" Well, my friend, that's just the magic of TV. Writers can make characters act older than they are to fit the story. Plus, let's not forget, Carlton was always trying to act more mature than he was. Remember the time he tried to pass off a fake ID as his real one? Classic Carlton!

But here's where things get interesting. Even though Carlton was supposed to be a teenager, Alfonso was actually playing him for six seasons. So, while Carlton was stuck in high school, Alfonso was growing up right before our eyes. By the time the show ended, Alfonso was 25, which means Carlton was... well, still a teenager, but a very mature one!
Now, you might be wondering why any of this matters. Well, it doesn't, really. It's just fun to think about! Plus, it's a great excuse to rewatch some Fresh Prince episodes and appreciate the genius that was Carlton Banks. I mean, who else could make a dance move out of a simple karate chop?

So, there you have it. Carlton from Fresh Prince of Bel-Air was a teenager, probably around 16-18 years old throughout the series. And even though he'll always be that preppy, sometimes-annoying, but always-loveable character to us, Alfonso Ribeiro is now a grown man with a family of his own. Isn't that something?
Anyway, I hope this little trip down memory lane has brought a smile to your face. After all, isn't that what the Fresh Prince is all about? So, the next time you're feeling old, just remember Carlton. He'll still be stuck in high school, and you'll be... well, you'll be just fine. Now, go on and enjoy your day, and remember, don't ever touch that dial!
