So, there I was, scrolling through my Spotify playlists the other day, when suddenly, "Welcome to the Black Parade" started playing. I mean, who doesn't have a soft spot for My Chemical Romance, right? But then it hit me, I had no idea how old the band members were. I mean, I knew they were around when I was in high school, but that was ages ago! So, I decided to do a little digging, and here's what I found.
Gerard Way - The Frontman
Let's start with the man with the microphone, Gerard Way. Now, I know what you're thinking, "He looks like he's been around since the dawn of time," but surprisingly, he's not that old. Born on April 9, 1977, Gerard is currently 44 years old. That's right, he's a year younger than my mom! I know, I know, it's hard to believe. But hey, age is just a number, right?
Fun Fact: Gerard Way is also a comic book writer and the creator of "The Umbrella Academy" series.
Now, let's move on to the rest of the band.
Must Read
Frank Iero - The Rhythm Guitarist
Next up, we have Frank Iero. Born on October 31, 1981, Frank is the youngest member of the band, currently 40 years old. That's right, he's a whole four years younger than Gerard! I know, I know, it's crazy to think that the guy who's been rocking out with us all these years is practically a baby. But hey, age is just a number, right?
Fun Fact: Frank Iero has his own side project called "frnkiero andthe cellabration".
Alright, let's keep the party going with the next member.
Ray Toro - The Lead Guitarist
Now, let's talk about Ray Toro. Born on July 15, 1977, Ray is currently 44 years old, just like Gerard. I know, I know, it's like they're twins or something. But hey, they do say that guitarists age backwards, so maybe that's why they look so young!
bob bryar - ekşi sözlük
Fun Fact: Ray Toro has produced albums for several bands, including Thursday and The Gaslight Anthem.
Now, let's not forget the guys who keep the beat going.
Mikey Way - The Bassist
Born on September 10, 1980, Mikey Way is currently 41 years old. That's right, he's the middle child of the band, both in age and in the band's lineup. I know, I know, it's crazy to think that the guy who's been keeping the beat going all these years is practically a spring chicken. But hey, age is just a number, right?
Fun Fact: Mikey Way is also a comic book writer, teaming up with his brother Gerard on "The Umbrella Academy".
And finally, the guy who keeps the beat going.
My Chemical Romance Collaborations
Bob Bryar - The Drummer (2004-2010)
Now, let's talk about Bob Bryar. Born on August 27, 1977, Bob is currently 44 years old. That's right, he's the same age as Gerard and Ray! But hey, he's not with the band anymore, so let's not dwell on the past, right?
Fun Fact: Bob Bryar was replaced by Michael Pedicone in 2010, who is currently 35 years old.
And there you have it, folks! The ages of the members of My Chemical Romance. I know, I know, it's crazy to think that the guys who've been rocking out with us all these years are practically our peers. But hey, age is just a number, right?
So, the next time you're singing along to "Helena" or "Famous Last Words", remember that the guys behind the music are just like you and me, except they're way cooler and can actually play instruments. And hey, if you ever see them out and about, don't forget to buy them a drink. They've earned it!
