Hey there, curious minds! Ever wondered how old your favorite Stranger Things characters are? Buckle up, 'cause we're diving into the Upside Down of ages, and let me tell you, it's a wild ride!
Our Fave Kids: The Party's Not Just for the Young at Heart
Let's start with the core four, shall we? Mike, Eleven, Dustin, and Lucas are all 12 years old. That's right, they're all in the same grade, navigating the trials and tribulations of middle school together. But here's where things get interesting: in the show's timeline, they're all 12 in the first season, but by the time we reach season four, they've aged a whole year! Can you believe it? Time flies when you're fighting Demogorgons!
Now, Eleven, our favorite telekinetic powerhouse, has a bit of a complicated age story. When we first meet her, she's been living in Hawkins Lab since she was a baby, so she's developmentally younger than her actual age. By season four, she's caught up a bit, but she's still got some growing to do. It's like she's in her own little Demogorgon-free bubble, aging at her own pace!

Moving on to the high school crew, Nancy and Jonathan are both 16 in the first season. But by season four, they've graduated and are off to college! Talk about growing up fast. And let's not forget about Steve, who starts out as a 16-year-old high schooler but is 17 by the end of season one. He's the big kid on the block, literally!
Now, Max, the newest addition to the friend group, is 12 in season three, just like the core four. But by season four, she's 13 and ready to take on the big bads with the rest of the gang. Talk about a quick growth spurt!
Adults: They're Older Than They Look, Promise
Alright, let's talk grown-ups. Joyce is 37 in the first season, and by season four, she's 41. That's right, she's aged four years in the span of four seasons. But who can blame her? Raising Will and dealing with the Upside Down will age anyone!
